Dessert at MOF [Ministry Of Food]

After a heavy lunch at Ajisen, we decided to have some desserts. We travelled down one floor and we walked past MOF [Ministry Of Food]. The place looks nice and unique and price is reasonable and most importantly they are not charging GST and Service Charge yet..;)

We ordered 2 desserts to share among ourselves. Will be back for try out more varieties soon.

Lunch at Ajisen Ramen - CCK

After delivering our son to my parents' place, we decided to take the LRT to Lot 1. We decided to try out Ajisen [Japanese Ramen] since we have not taken it for a long time.

This branch over at Lot 1 is rather new and the ambience it not too bad.

We ordered a few dishes that we have not tried before..mine was a bit spicy but nice.

Bukit Panjang - Light Rapid Transit [LRT]

It has been over 3 years since we last took a LRT from my parent's place. We were not even sure if we still have our EZ-link card available...luckily we still have one each in our wallets..;)

We decided to send in our car for repair yesterday since it's collision with a mini-van 2 weeks ago. I was sending SGFemale to her work and whilst I was reversing out towards the car park exit, my car accidentally collided into the left side of the mini-van. Since it was my fault, I decided to bear all the repair expenses.

It's really kinda of hard when for one to revert back to taking public transportation after many year of driving. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it..;) Our son was very happy and excited whenever we take public transportation...not sure why...I will check with him again when he grows up a bit more..

Modern rubbish bin

Saw some interesting and nice rubbish bins at United Square when we had our lunch at Vienna International Buffet on Monday. It was so cute that I decided to take a few pictures of them.

If only we could have one at home, our son would be happy to see that.
He enjoys throwing away used tissue and wrappers for us, with this cute rubbish bin, we believes he would even signed on to become our full-time errand boy.

Celebrating at Kuishin-bo

On Wednesday night, I meet up with 3 friends for a gathering and also for a birthday celebration. We meet up at Jurong Point and after some discussion, we decided to have our dinner at Kuishin-bo because there's a promotion. It was ladies's nite on every Wednesday till 31th Aug, a 2 hours session buffet dinner with only $29.90++ per pax. What's more, there's snow crab available only during dinner hours. We all want to try snow crab as we haven't try it before, typical "mountain turtle", haha...;p

Newly opened Kuishin-bo Japanese Restaurant at Jurong Point

Salmon sashimi which the 3 of them shared cos I don't eat salmon sashimi

Other sushi that the 3 of them shared.

Tempura prawns & Japanese pancake

Teriyaki eel, tempura prawn, saba and teriyaki chicken which they shared.

Grilled lobster with cheese (only for the first 40paxs) this is the last 3 sets!
Aren't I lucky???

My seafood plate - scallops, soft shell crab, prawn, tako sushi and snow crab.

It's very sweet and fresh! Can't really describe it, that's why I had a lot that nite.

Chocolate mousse and mini cakes

Lastly, after too much snow crab, my tummy's got little room for desserts.
All in all, it's quite nice and all 4 of us enjoyed the dinner that night.
Will definitely go back again with SGMale again soon....;p

Breakfast at NTU

It is certainly nice to have breakfast at a quiet and serene place once in a while. Yeah..we took the chance to go for a very early meal at NTU which is near our place one fine morning.

The food is slightly above average and the price is economical, most importantly the ambience is nice.

Latest Titbit Craze

Guess what..we are into Pocky..all different flavors of Pocky...yummy.

Leave it to the Japanese to redesign the cookie into a crunchy chocolate covered stick. Pocky is the delicious dessert-style snack of choice. we recommend excessive Pocky consumption while viewing your favorite channel 5/8 TV show. ')

Ang Mo Kio Hub

After the sumptuous lunch at Vienna, we drove over to AMK HUB to catch a movie [Hancock]. It was about a man with superhero power that attempts to save human lives but in a very rude and outrageous way until a someone change him slowly...i shall not reveal too much here...go watch the movie, it's worth the money.

After the movie, we walked around the hub...bought 4D and TOTO and of course, shopping, shopping and shopping...what else man..:)

Lunch at Vienna International Seafood & Teppanyaki Restaurant

SGFemale and I took the day off on Monday and yes..we went for a huge feast at Vienna International Seafood & Teppanyaki Restaurant. We started off with a some soup and veggie stuff and looking at the huge buffet spread before us, we could not help but try out most of the delicious dishes. SGFemale was very much into spanner crabs and I was attacking mostly the pepper crabs and raw stuff.

They change the dishes from time to time, we were kind of spolit for choices..

The ambience is nice and the waiting staff were fast and efficient in clearing away our used plates..;) Though the price has increased by a few bucks, it did not deter Singaporeans like us from spending our hard-earn money here.

Latest arcade craze

Having seen some youngsters played the 'control and grab' game to win the type of miniture or toys that one desire from a transparent display cabinet and after some period of keen observation, SGFemale decided to give it a shot last weekend.

Wasted $3 bucks on first few attempts, I gave it a shot and YES!! I got ourselves one 'banana stuff toy'..and after spending some $15 more bucks, we have altogether won 4 'Banana toy'. We reckon that each 'Banana' should cost about $5-6 each in the market. What comforting thoughts and assumptions..;)

Anyway, our son loves the toys and it is at least one little consolation if any...

Unexpected visit to a rural part of Singapore

After sending off our son to his favourite weekend escape, a 2 day 1 night stay at my in-law's house, we set off to explore the east side of Singapore. SGMale suggested going to Bedok Shopping Centre. Upon hearing the venue, I got a little "sian", cos never heard of it and got an impression that it must be somewhere similar to Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

I was right about it when we finally got there after 90mins, cos we lose our way, hahaha.... even with our GPS. It was like JB, with a few shop houses, coffeeshop, fruit stall and with a supermarket (Shop N Save).

We walked around the place and found a few restaurants hiding at the corner, as there's nothing special about their food, so we ended up eating at a crowded coffeeshop. We had noodle, mee siam and rojak for our lunch. The noodle which SGMale was having was very nice, no wonder all the people in that coffeeshop were all having it, except me.

When I saw SGMale wolfing down the noodle, I asked to try his noodle, hm... it was indeed very nice. I should have ordered that. As I usually don't eat yellow noodle, I gave it a miss. I would always prefer bee hoon to noodle anytime and that's why I ordered mee siam, but it didn't turn out good, was too concentrated.

After lunch, we bought a donut at "Donut Master" to share, it was a Chocolate crunch with cheese at $1.50, quite expensive for one but it was really nice and soft. Will definately go back again for noodle and more donut next time. Hopefully, we won't get lose again, hee!!!
